THE PROBLEM
Indonesia faces a medical waste crisis, exacerbated by the pandemic. Daily medical waste has surged to 382 tons, a 30% increase from pre-pandemic levels. Hospitals (70%), clinics (20%), and health centers (10%) contribute most of this waste, including hazardous and infectious materials. Improper disposal methods, such as illegal dumping and burning, threaten our environment and health. It's time to act.
THE SOLUTION - Reducing Waste by 80% with Natural Medicine
Replacing single-use medical devices with natural remedies can slash medical waste by up to 80%. Research at Brawijaya University confirms that natural medicine can be as effective, without harmful side effects. As awareness grows, natural medicine adoption in Indonesia will reduce medical waste significantly.
